What is specialized online anxiety therapy?
Specialized online anxiety therapy is a virtual clinical intervention designed to help individuals identify the root causes of chronic worry, manage somatic stress symptoms, and break free from cycles of overthinking. Licensed Professional Counselor Angela Fitzpatrick utilizes evidence-based strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to provide clients with actionable coping mechanisms. This remote telehealth format allows individuals across Texas to access private, structured anxiety counseling from their own space.
Moving Beyond Coping: A Targeted Approach to Anxiety Management to Bring You Peace
Living with persistent anxiety often feels like an endless cycle of mental gymnastics. Chronic stress doesn't just impact your thoughts, it manifests physically as muscle tension, disrupted sleep, physical exhaustion, and a constantly elevated nervous system. Traditional advice tells you to "just relax," but true clinical recovery requires a deep, structured understanding of your personal anxiety triggers.
Our virtual therapy sessions target anxiety from a multi-dimensional perspective, giving you practical, sustainable workflows to ground your mind and body:
Cognitive Restructuring for Racing Thoughts: Learning how to catch, challenge, and reframe irrational thought loops and worst-case scenario thinking before they escalate into overwhelming panic or paralysis.
Somatic Nervous System Regulation: Developing physical grounding techniques to down-regulate your body's fight-or-flight response, reducing the physical baseline of acute stress.
Deconstructing High-Functioning Anxiety: Addressing the underlying perfectionism and imposter syndrome that frequently drive professional burnout, allowing you to decouple your achievements from your internal anxiety.

This ensures you can maintain consistency in your mental health regimen without the added anxiety of traffic, scheduling conflicts, or local provider shortages.

Fitzpatrick Therapy helps you do 3 things:
-
We’ll spend the first few sessions talking about your past experiences and present struggles to understand what has led you to this point in your life. From there, we’ll discuss what you hope to take away from our work together. This is important to identify your desired goals.
-
Over the course of therapy, we’ll uncover and challenge the triggering people, places and things that you are identifying the tipping points in feeling stressed out, overwhelmed and anxious. We’ll work on developing and practicing new ways to cope with these triggers and those life stressors that are beyond your control. You’ll have a clearer sense of helpful practices that calm and relax you as well as increasing your support system around you to help maintain this new found peacefulness.
-
When you’ve achieved all your desired goals and you feel ready, you’ll be able to feel armed with the right tools. Tools to take on life with a new perspective. Tools to self-regulate and ground yourself.

I work best with individuals who are ready to do a deep dive into the healing process. I encourage practicing modality techniques, coping tools, and role play during the session and encourage homework assignments outside of the session for follow-up during the next session with me.
If you are serious about committing to your scheduled sessions and putting in the necessary work to bring about actual change, I am the perfect fit for you.
-
Each person I meet with is a unique individual; therefore, I strive to provide personalized care. My goal is to have you meet your personal goals and thrive in your life in the most reasonable and achievable timeframe possible.
I typically determine, along with my client’s collaboration, the best course of action to meet your unique goals together following our initial session. However, session frequency averages about once a week to biweekly.
Even though I strive to help my clients achieve their immediate goals as soon as possible, I am also available for clients who would like a long-term therapeutic relationship as well. The amount of time for long-term therapy depends on the level of support you’re looking for and how deep you want to go in therapy.
Please note for long-term therapy, self-pay clients are most likely to receive, as insurance companies may limit or not approve longer lengths of time.
